Fez is the oldest city in Morocco and the fourth largest. Our plan was to camp there for three nights so that the truck could be serviced while we explored the city and got practical stuff like laundry done.
The old city of Fez was huge and very chaotic so our tour leader had arranged a guide for us who took us through its narrow streets with bazaars, winding alleys, mosques, workshops people and pack animals. He also took us to several stores to show how things were made like argen oil, woven carpets, spices and things mads out of clay. The thing I had been looking forward to the most was seeing the tannery, which is a  UNESCO World heritage site where leather is bathed in liquids of many colors which would have made a great picture, but at the time we were there it was under reconstruction so there were no colors to be seen. The rest of the time was spent relaxing in a hammam (Turkish bath) and at the campsite as our next nights will be bush camping in the wild.
