Just After an hour drive from Limassol I reached the UNESCO World Heritage city of Paphos. The city was much more quiet than the other Cyprian cities I had visited, probably because it was as far West as possible, far away from the capital and the charter flight destinations.
From early morning I started exploring the Archeological Park and the Tomb of Kings, both with ruins from ancient Greek time and both with free entrance for students. The rest of the tourist sights in Cyprus were all free and the bus tickets were half price with a student ID.
Initially my plan was to rent a bike to cycle between bike tracks, but after spending a couple of hours following the directions of locals to bike shops that were either closed or non existent I gave up and decided to just sit and drink wine with the alcoholic Norwegian hostel manager instead. He had some really interesting stories and gave me a good history lesson of Pafos and the rest of Cyprus.
